ABOUT US
Here at Sapiens Ghana, we believe that every child should be allowed equal opportunities. We operate in Ghana and help children from various backgrounds achieve their true potential. We partner with schools and the general community to ensure that kids learn in a supportive environment and have fun doing it! Since our beginnings in 2018, we’ve been driven to support kids in any way possible. Whether it's by working to empower girls through our Girls in STEM program, or by encouraging early literacy through our Reading Program and accompanying activities, giving kids a leg up is what we do.

Now, we have expanded operations to assist children from the very beginning. With our Baby Bundle initiative, we hope to support mothers and babies by providing essential items. All in the hope of ensuring that every child has the best start.

OUR STORY
About the Founder
My journey with the Sapiens Ghana foundation began in 2018, during a visit in my second year at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Inspired by the summer programs that I participated in as a child, I thought I would offer a similar experience. That summer, I offered a few reading and STEM programs in Accra and Sunyani. There, we were able to show that learning can be beneficial and fun! The next year, with a better idea of what works, I offered additional programs to even more children.
In 2022, I pursued a master’s degree in Global Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC). There, I gained valuable knowledge about inter-professional healthcare teams, and designing healthcare interventions in limited resource settings. Those insights led to the development of our most recent initiative: Baby Bundles.
At the core of our organization is a commitment to supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our society: children. We believe that providing support for education and healthcare has the potential to be transformative. It can reduce disparities, and open someone up to an entirely new world. Most importantly, we hope to provide every child the opportunities needed for them to thrive, regardless of circumstance.
